AKTINA 2.0 is a productive urban furniture, specially designed for the city of Rotterdam.
The proposal consists of a small scale multipliable construction, an energy efficient hub,
in which people can re-charge their mobile e-devices with energy supplies produced by solar resources.
The public spaces of the city, mainly squares and parks, can be equipped with this new generation of urban furniture,
in order to accommodate the needs of contemporary inhabitants, who spend a lot of time on the go, or need to be able to
use their mobile devices outdoors. AKTINA 2.0, also contributes to the conversation of how should energy be produced in the current era.
The project promotes the vision of producing energy through renewable resources which are distributed on the urban field and interconnected
to form a dynamic and productive network.
